Maharashtra Class 11 Admissions: Online Registration for 20.92 Lakh Seats Begins Monday
Pune, 25th May 2025: Online registration for Class 11 admissions across Maharashtra will begin on Monday, May 26, for a total of 20,92,350 seats available in 9,373 junior colleges statewide. For the first time, a centralized online admission process is being implemented across the entire state.
Under this system, 18,77,839 seats will be filled through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) rounds, while 2,14,511 seats are reserved under various quotas, including management, in-house, and minority quotas.
The admission process is being conducted by the Department of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. From Monday, students can begin online registration and submit their preference lists. Each applicant can choose a minimum of one and a maximum of ten junior colleges. Seat allotment will be based on merit, reservation criteria, and the order of preferences listed by the student.
Key Features and Instructions:
- Students may simultaneously apply under management, in-house, and minority quotas.
- Before each CAP round, students must confirm their willingness to participate.
- Those not allotted a seat in a round can revise their preferences for the subsequent rounds.
After Allotment:
- If a student is allotted a college and wishes to confirm admission, they must click ‘Proceed for Admission’ on their login portal.
- Students must upload the required documents and also physically visit the allotted college to complete the admission process.
- If a student does not wish to take admission, they can wait for the next round—unless allotted their first preference, in which case admission is mandatory.
- Failure to take admission after being allotted the first preference will render the student ineligible for Rounds 2 to 4 and they will only be considered in the special open round.
Additional Notes:
- Registration fees must be paid via digital payment modes only.
- The Zero Round for Management, In-House, and Minority Quotas will take place from June 9 to 11.
