Maharashtra State Women’s Commission Contact Numbers Operational

Mumbai, 27th May 2025: Amidst reports circulating in some media outlets that the Maharashtra State Women’s Commission’s telephone numbers are not operational, the Commission has issued a clarification. All official telephone numbers of the Commission’s Mumbai office are functioning as per the working hours from 9:45 am to 6:15 pm.

The Commission’s helpline number 155209, dedicated to counselling and support, received 20 calls from across the state by 6:15 pm on 27th May, with all callers being provided necessary assistance. In addition to this, the numbers 022-26592707, 022-26590474, 022-26590050, and 022-26591142 are also operational during office hours.

The Commission has strongly refuted the news reports claiming its telephones are not working. Women can also reach the Commission via email at [email protected] or by visiting the office in person during working hours.

Furthermore, for women’s safety and urgent support, the Maharashtra Government’s 112 and 181 helpline numbers are available 24×7 across the state. The Commission reiterates its commitment to providing timely assistance and support to women in need through all available channels.
