Pune: Amrut Launches Free Advanced Industrial and IT Skill Training for Open Category Students with NIELIT Collaboration

Pune, 27th May 2025: In a significant move to boost industrial and advanced IT skill development, Maharashtra’s research, advancement, and training institute ‘Amrut’ has partnered with the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) to offer free professional training for students from open categories. This initiative is especially designed for students from communities such as Brahmin, Marwadi, Rajput, Gujarati, and others, who are not eligible for benefits under any government department, institution, or corporation schemes. To qualify, applicants must belong to the targeted group, be residents of Maharashtra, and have a family income below Rs 8 lakh per annum. Educational qualifications include a degree in engineering (IT, Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunication, Electrical, Instrumentation), or B.Sc., B.Sc. (Computer Science), BCA, M.Sc. (Computer Science), MCA, or related fields. Applicants must also be part of the Amrut target group.
Required documents for the application include an Aadhaar card, domicile certificate (proof of age, nationality, and residence), a government document confirming caste from the Amrut target group, an income certificate or financial weakness certificate for less than Rs 8 lakh (2025–26), and proof of educational qualifications.
