Pune: Chandrakant Patil Promises Full Support for Women Empowerment and Girls’ Education in Mulshi Taluka

Mulshi, 2nd June 2025: Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Minister and Kothrud MLA Chandrakant Patil has pledged extensive support to transform the socio-economic landscape of Mulshi Taluka by empowering women and enhancing educational access for girls.

Speaking at a recent event, Patil emphasized that Mulshi Taluka is a region of great richness, but its current image does not reflect its true potential. He assured that if women in Mulshi Taluka unite to start any business, they will receive comprehensive assistance from the government.

Patil highlighted the importance of women’s economic independence for the positive transformation of Mulshi Taluka. He referenced the Lakhpati Didi scheme initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which encourages rural women to become entrepreneurs. Patil urged local women to come forward with business ideas, promising full support to help them establish and grow their enterprises.

In a significant step for girls’ education, Minister Patil inaugurated a dedicated bus service for schoolgirls and students from remote areas of Mulshi Taluka. This initiative aims to ensure that no girl is deprived of education due to geographical barriers. The bus service was formally launched by Patil himself, with several dignitaries in attendance.

Patil also spoke about the government’s commitment to supporting youth in Mulshi Taluka who aspire to appear for competitive exams such as MPSC and UPSC. He mentioned that fellowships are being provided through organizations like Sarathi and Mahajyoti to help students prepare for these exams. Patil encouraged the youth of Mulshi Taluka to aim high and assured them of all necessary support.

Adding to these efforts, Patil personally distributed scholarships to needy girls from remote areas of Mulshi Taluka, reaffirming the government’s dedication to inclusive and equitable education. The event highlighted a holistic approach to development in Mulshi Taluka, focusing on women’s empowerment, girls’ education, and youth aspirations, with the promise of comprehensive government support at every stage.
