Pune company’s crucial assistance during Operation Sindoor

Pune, 26th June 2025: The Pune-based company, Samudra LED, has recently been appreciated by Amritsar Smart City Corporation for its crucial assistance during Operation Sindoor, which was implemented in response to the Pahalgam attack.

During Operation Sindoor, the company’s Lighting Management Software (LMS) played a crucial role in enabling the administration to instantly turn off approximately 80,000 streetlights in the city.

Speaking about this, Prafulla Madhukar Thote, Managing Director of Samudra LED, said, “After the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor was implemented, and a war-like situation arose between India and Pakistan. During this time, Samudra LED’s valuable assistance proved beneficial to the local administration in Amritsar. In recent years, our company has been responsible for installing streetlights in the city under the Energy Efficiency Program, and our Lighting Management Software (LMS) helped the administration during this challenging situation. As per the district collector’s office instructions, our software enabled the streetlights to be turned on and off within moments.”

Prafulla Thote expressed satisfaction that Samudra LED’s software contributed to managing the situation during Operation Sindoor. He also appreciated the efforts of Maninder Singh from the company’s Operations and Maintenance team, who played a crucial role in this endeavor.
