Pune’s Alok Todkar Wins Bronze at Under-19 Asian Volleyball Championship

Dhanakwadi, 27th June 2025: Alok Todkar, a promising volleyball talent from Dhanakwadi, has brought pride to the city and the nation by helping the Indian team clinch a bronze medal at the Under-19 Central Asian Volleyball Championship held in Uzbekistan.

Todkar, the sole representative from Maharashtra in the national squad, made a notable contribution as India secured a 3–1 victory over Kazakhstan to finish third in the competition.

Known for his consistent performances across various tournaments, Alok is now considered one of the rising stars in Indian volleyball. His achievement was made possible with the support and mentorship of the Appa Renuse family, Santosh Pawar, Rohit Malgavkar, and the Amol Buchde Sports Foundation, who helped guide his training and development ahead of the championship.
