Winter sports fest 2015
Pune : Bavdhan Manch launched its Winter Sports Fest 2015 by arranging a Run Fun program on 8 November, Sunday. This Run Fun was a two kilometer walk cum run event for all societies in Bavdhan.
It was attended by over 300 residents who ran and walked the two kilometer track. It was inaugurated by the senior most resident of Bavdhan Mr. Deshpande aged 95 years who also flagged it off and himself walked some distance. The Bavdhan Manch Winter Sports Fest 2015 will begin on 28th Novemeber and continue upto 20th December.
The last day will be a Fun Fair with stalls for local residents for food items, games and handicrafts. Games included in the Fest are Cricket (mixed), Football and Indian Games like Kabbadi, Kho Kho and Langdi. Besides this, Fun Games for senior citizens and children. This Fest is an intersociety competition for societies of Bavdhan. More than thirty teams from various societies of Bavdhan registered for the games on the first day itself.Bavdhan Manch is a forum of citizens working for the upliftment of community life of Bavdhan residents. The Manch works on various subjects like pubic transport, Zero Garbage Bavdhan, traffic and road safety among others.
